Below is a description of each portion of our Euro stype touring paddle and some of the other options you can choose.

Overall Length
The correct paddle length is one of the more important measurement to get correct. Usually measured in centimeters (unlike standard Greenland paddles which are measured in inches). Standard lengths range from 200 cm to 240 cm.

Blade Shape & Style
Blade width and surface area vary by Blade Style. Currently available in symmetrical and asymetrical styling. We have designed the paddle style as a good balance between surface area, power and ease of use over time. Too much surface area can mean quick acceleration, but can sap your energy too quickly. Smaller surface area is good for long distances but not as good at racing.

Pieces
Available in one solid piece of wood. That's as traditional as you can get! Or a more convenient, two piece setup. The two piece style is fabricated with an aircraft aluminum ferrule (male / female socket). Annodized in either black or maroon. It won't rust or corrode. The ferrule and notch are very secure. Even more importantly, the generous thumb notch locks or unlocks the paddle quite easily with cold stiff hands. Something to appreicate when you are switching paddles offshore.
